“A CHRISTMAS POPS”
December 16, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pmFREE
Come and enjoy the sounds of the season as the Maynard Community Band (MCB) and Conductor Michael Karpeichik present their annual “A Christmas Pops” holiday concert.
Sunday, December 16th – 5 pm Maynard’s own 45 piece Community Band will perform in the auditorium of Maynard High School, 1 Tiger Drive, just off Route 117 in Maynard.
Whether this is your first time or a returning fan, you’ll be inspired by our time honored program for the young and young at heat. We urge you to sit back, relax and listen to the musical sounds of the season. Try to stay in your seats though as we feature our trumpet section on “Bugler’s Holiday”. Then just as you settle back down, hold on tight as we bring you on “A Horse Drawn Buggy Ride” as we take a trip “On a Catalonian Carol” thru “Christmas from the 50”s” where we remember “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, then finally “Wishing you a Mambo Christmas”.
Re-live familiar holiday stories, and join in with our own Mark Malcolm as he once again leads the Children’s Kazoo Band. Sing along with the band to great and bright winter classics like Rudolf and Silver Bells and of course, weather permitting we may even get a visit from Santa himself.
This concert event has become an annual tradition in town and always proves to be an entertaining and memorable experience…and it’s FREE!!!! Come early and stay for the main event as the MCB Holiday Concerts have become standing room only by downbeat time.
MCB provides an outlet for musicians of all ages, talents and backgrounds to come together for musical camaraderie. Members from as far away as Billerica, Dracut, Shrewsbury, Hudson, Framingham, Marlborough and beyond have found friends and musicianship within the ranks of the MCB. If you’d like to be a part of our musical family or have any questions about us, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Michael Karpeichik, Conductor, 508-485-3171, or email MCBmusic143@gmail.com.
See you at the Christmas Concert, Sunday, December 16th, 5 pm, Maynard High School.
