“A CHRISTMAS POPS”, Sunday, December 17, 2017, 5:00 pm

Join the fun and enjoy the sounds of the season as Conductor Michael Karpeichik and the Maynard Community Band (MCB) celebrate the band’s 28th annual “A Christmas Pops” holiday concert.

Sunday, December 17th – 5:00 pm Conductor Michael Karpeichik will lead the 45 piece Maynard Community Band in the main sanctuary of the former Union Congregational Church, 80 Main Street in downtown Maynard.

If you’re a returning fan, you’ll thrill to our time honored program for the young and young at heart.  Settle back and hear the musical sounds of the season.  Try to stay in your seats, though, for “Bugler’s Holiday” and our new rock and Latin Christmas rhythms of “Fum, Fum, Fum” and “We Wish You a Merry Mambo Christmas”.

Re-live familiar holiday stories, and join in with our own Mark Malcolm as he once again leads Maynard’s own, Childrens Kazoo Band.  Sing along with the band to great and bright winter classics like Rudolf and Silver Bells and , of course, weather permitting we may even get a visit from Santa himself.

This concert event always proves to be an entertaining and relaxing experience, and it’s FREE.  Come early, listen to a prelude performance on the buildings’ Hook and Hastings organ and stay for the main event as the MCB Holiday Concerts have become standing room only by downbeat time.

MCB provides an outlet for musicians of all ages, talents and backgrounds to come together for musical camaraderie.  Members from as far as Billerica, Dracut, Shrewsbury, Hudson, Framingham, Marlborough and beyond have found friends and musicianship within the ranks of the MCB.  If you’d like to join us or have any questions about us, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Michael Karpeichik, Conductor, 508-485-3171, (mkarp143@verizon.net).
